For the first time in 3 years all three kids were available for a family holiday. They are all young adults really (26,24,22) so it’s not a massive surprise that they don’t want to spend a whole week with us! I actually don’t blame them!
As usual we hired a villa from Villa Plus. We think this was our best one yet. Everyone had their own bedroom and the views were unreal.
We did all the usual things we love doing. We didn’t break our all time Keep Me Uppy record but 78 wasn’t bad. We blamed the deep pool for our mediocre performance!
We managed to watch a lot of football including 2 wins for the mighty Hammers. One was 6-0 which I wasn’t overly happy missing!! It doesn’t happen very often that’s for sure. Below is us watching a game by the pool.
We had a great day at the water park. The highlight was the 10 year old boy telling the lifeguard to ‘f**k off’ when he wasn’t allowed to go on a ride as he was too small. I was gutted I didn’t hear it but the kids couldn’t tell us quick enough! Class! Below are Jemma and Darcey doing down some crazy slide. You can’t see Jack and I because we were that much faster and the camera shutter speed wasn’t strong enough!
As usual lots and lots of delicious sea food. I ate nothing else for the whole week. Sea bass, sea bream, white bait, sardines, mussels and grilled prawns. Fantastic.
We had a lovely little beach a 15 minute walk away. It was really beautifil.
Jemma, Darcey and I did our usual couple of runs. It wasn’t the best area for running with no running paths or any paths really. The girls slowed me down a bit but they caught up eventually!
All in all it was a really lovely break. It was really weird to think that Kare and I are now retired and all 3 kids have full time jobs. The circle of life I guess because when we first started going on our villa holidays about 10 years ago it was the other way around i.e we were grafting and they were all at school.
Lets hope we can do it again next year.
